Terms of Service

1. The service

aiimage4k uses third-party AI models to enhance and upscale images to 2K or 4K output. Results are AI-generated: the AI may add, alter or remove details and does not guarantee accurate recovery of the original. Output dimensions depend on the AI result. 4K output is experimental.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the service, and old enough to form a binding contract to make purchases.
• You sign in with Google and are responsible for all activity on your account.
• Keep your account secure and do not share, sell or transfer it.

3. Credits

• Image processing uses credits. The number of credits per 2K or 4K image is shown on the site before processing.
• Credits are deducted only after a successful result. Failed requests cost no credits, and re-downloading an existing result is free.
• Credits from one-time packs do not expire. Credits from monthly plans are added after each confirmed payment and expire at the end of that billing period without rolling over.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are tied to your account.

4. Payments and subscriptions

• Prices are shown in USD. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider.
• Monthly plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access to the current period’s credits until it ends.
• We may change prices or plans with advance notice. Changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for.
• Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to upload, create or distribute:

• Sexually explicit, pornographic or other adult content, or any sexualized content involving minors or people who appear to be minors.
• Content that is illegal, violent, hateful, harassing, or that promotes self-harm.
• Images of real people used to deceive, defame or impersonate them, or uploaded without the rights or consent you need.
• Content that infringes the copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights of others.

You also agree not to attempt to bypass safety filters, rate limits or credit checks, reverse engineer the service, use automated means to access it without permission, or interfere with its operation. We may block requests, remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. Accounts terminated for violations are not eligible for refunds.

6. Content moderation

We keep the platform safe with a combination of automated screening, human review and periodic checks.

6.1 Automated screening (real time)

Every image processing request goes through safety checks:

• Input screening: uploaded images are evaluated by our AI model provider’s safety system (currently OpenAI) before processing, and violating requests are rejected.
• Output screening: generated images are evaluated by the same safety system before they are returned, and violating results are not delivered.
• Usage monitoring: we limit request frequency and concurrency per account and monitor for unusual activity.

6.2 Human review

• Requests that are blocked or flagged automatically, and accounts that trigger usage monitoring, may be reviewed by our team.
• Content and accounts reported by users are reviewed by our team.
• Reviewers access data only as needed to handle moderation and reports, and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6.3 Spot checks and evaluation

• We may randomly review processing records to detect violations that automated screening missed.
• We regularly evaluate our moderation rules and outcomes and keep improving them.

6.4 Severity levels and enforcement

We take action based on how serious a violation is:

Unused credits on accounts suspended or terminated for violations are not refunded. If you believe an action was taken in error, you can appeal using the contact details below and we will review it again.

7. Reporting

To report a violation, email [email protected] with "Report" in the subject line, and include any relevant links, screenshots and a description. Reports involving child safety are handled with the highest priority.

7.1 What you can report

• Content or behaviour that violates the acceptable use rules in these Terms.
• Serious violations involving child safety, terrorism and similar.
• Use of the service to impersonate you or to infringe your portrait, copyright or other legal rights.
• Any other behaviour that endangers users or the public.

7.2 How we handle reports

• Confidentiality: we keep the identity of the person reporting strictly confidential and never disclose it to the reported party.
• Neutrality: every report is reviewed independently and objectively.
• Preventing abuse: malicious or false reports are recorded and may lead to action.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to the images you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit them (including to our AI provider) only to provide the service. Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you may use your enhanced results for personal or commercial purposes. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the images you upload and for how you use the results.

9. Our intellectual property

The aiimage4k name, logo, website and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to use them except as needed to use the service.

10. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, adjust credit costs for future processing, or limit usage during high load. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

11. Disclaimers

The service and all results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. Please review each result before relying on it.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or images. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, act fraudulently or abusively, or if required by law. Unused credits are forfeited on termination for breach.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
