Upscale food photos for menus and check accuracy

Prepare menu and delivery images while checking portions, ingredients, color and the final layout dimensions.

Start with the real dish

Choose a photo matching the actual portion and presentation. Enlargement should not invent extra ingredients or turn the dish into something else. Check focus, lighting and white balance; retake the photo when necessary.

Calculate dimensions from the layout

Use the menu template or delivery platform’s actual specifications. For example, a 10 × 7.5 cm printed image at 300 PPI needs about 1182 × 886 pixels. This is a calculation example, not a platform-wide requirement. Detail crops need enough remaining pixels too.

Inspect texture and color

At 100%, review rice, noodles, meat texture, sauces and cutlery edges. Look for repeated ingredients, implausible steam texture and color casts on white plates. At the final menu size, the food should still look natural and recognizable.

Keep menu lettering separate

Prices, dish names and allergen information should remain editable text in layout software. Do not rely on AI to guess characters in a blurry menu. Check file size and the platform preview after export, retain the editable source and avoid repeated compression.
